Toxic Water Pollution
One of the 4 kinds of water cycle is the toxic water pollution. This water pollution has chemicals in the water (by humen) that kills organisms. So some fishing is banned when theres high level of toxic found. Some toxic like gasoline, oil, household cleaning product, paints and many others may pollute the water. The most dangerous toxic are herbicides, pesticides and industrial compounds. Oil pollution is the recognized water pollution of all. One of the example of toxic pollution: March of 1989, Exxon Valdez splits 11 million gallons of oil into the Price William sound. This event effects the entire marine system/life.
Surface Water Pollution
This is the most visible pollution we can see, since it floats on the water, stream, river, lake and etc. This is one of the most common water pollution, trash. As we humans, used most of plastics without recycling it, bottles, plasctic bags and others were threw into the water systems. And sometimes trash would bring bacterial to the water, and it made our food (fish) poisionous. Oil and gasoline are also listed in the surface water pollution. During 2007,China most polluted country by surface water pollution yet. Just because of giving out free plastic bags to people.
Nutrient Water Pollution
Although nutrients are good, but too much could become a pollution to the water system. If theres too much nitrogen and phosphorous, the resullt will be that the stream, lake /river would grow alot of algae. Algae and cloudish water would make plants because sunlight cant reach the plants. This pollution is caused by leakage from septic tanks, animal manure, fertilizers and sewafe plant overflow. This pollution is considered as rare in the list of water pollution. This kind of pollution makes algae grow and taken all the oxygen, this will affect other plants and animals like fish. This usually happens to lakes.Missisipi was one of the places that get affected by this pollution.
Bacterial Water Pollution
Sometimes water in nature do have bacteria, but this pollution has more bacteria than it usually should. The bacterial water pollution is caused by sewage treatment facilities, leakage in septic tanks and animal manure. A kind of bacteria is the coliforms, they are a kind of bacteria that will always appear on the tracts of animals, humans and wastes. They are also found in plants ans soil material. This kind of bacteria would not cause diseases, but rarely it would cause very serious illness. Coliforms are actually came from the same source as pathogenic organisms. One of the place that get affected is Minnesota.
